Working with UK Healthcare Professionals
We engage with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and healthcare organisations (HCOs) to help us develop treatments to support better care for patients.
Our interactions with HCPs and HCOs includes participation in early scientific research and clinical trial programmes as well as providing advice and support to deliver medical education to ensure appropriate use of medicines. Payments and funding is provided to HCPs for their valuable expertise and to HCOs to support patient care.
We think it’s important the public feels confident that our relationships with HCPs and HCOs are open and transparent so we disclose the details of payments and other benefits on the ABPI database – Disclosure UK.
Disclosure UK is part of a Europe-wide initiative to increase transparency between pharmaceutical companies and the doctors, nurses, pharmacists and other health professionals and organisations it works with.
Working with Patient Groups
BioCryst is proud to support the ongoing work of a number of patient organisations helping to improve the lives of people with rare diseases.
As well as supporting activities such as increased disease awareness and best clinical practice, our work with patient organisations also provides us with a better understanding of the specific needs of patients and what we can do to help.
We will share our list of contributions to patient organisations here once any are made.
